Product Rave: Amika Nourishing Hair Mask

As the summer ends (ah- cue sad face) my hair needs some serious TLC. In effort to do this, I decided to chop off my hair– well not all of it– but 5 inches of it.  So now my hair falls to around my shoulders, and let me tell you- my hair feels a thousand times better.  In order to upkeep this new healthy ‘do, I have started used Amika’s Nourishing Mask.

I tend not to venture into trying new hair products because I like what I like- and I’ve been liking the same things for the last three years.  So when I was told by my friend that Amika’s hair mask is a game changer-  I was a bit hesitant.  I decided to purchase it off the Birchbox website and let me tell you– she was right, it is a game changer.

First off, this mask is super easy to use. Just apply a generous amount after shampooing and let it sit for 2 to 5 minutes. Then rinse thoroughly and you’re done! I was able to notice a difference in the texture of my hair right away.   Once my hair dried, it felt significantly softer and shinier which is largely due to it’s main ingredient: sea buckthorn berry. The essential oil from the sea buckthorn berry fortifies and smooths the hair shaft.

It can be used as a daily conditioner or as a weekly treatment– like I do. It has a very pleasant smell– very fresh and clean. I cannot say enough great things about this mask! So if you’re in the market for an amazing hair mask- I would definitely give this one a try!

I would love you know if you’ve tried this mask and your thoughts about it. Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter at @passtherouge and check us out on Instagram at passtherouge for more!

Til next time,
